When we discovered Arizona State University coed Jaime Hammer at the Playboy Special Editions Scottsdale open model casting a few months ago, we knew she was destined for great things (Cyber Club members will probably recognize her from the Scottsdale Casting Call). But, little did we know that her first photo shoot would result in her landing on the cover of the spring College Girls issue. We captured a few minutes with Jaime to get her thoughts on studying, partying and her Playboy experience-Don't miss the exclusive Behind-the-Scenes video of Jaime's photo shoot in the Cyber Club!
PSE: What made you decide to attend the open casting in Scottsdale?
JH: I was reading the College Times newspaper and saw the ad. I decided, "What the heck, why not? What do I have to lose?"
PSE: Were you shocked when you found out you'd be on the cover of College Girls?
JH: Yes, definitely! I was just hoping to land a spread in Special Editions, so to find out that they selected me for the cover was absolutely surprising.
PSE: Tell us about your first Playboy photo shoot.
JH: We did the shoot at this beautiful house--it was unbelievable. It was like a house you would see on MTV Cribs. The only bad part about the shoot was the chilly weather. And when you're wearing next to nothing...it gets cold!
PSE: How did your family and friends react to your decision to pose for Playboy?
JH: Well, my mom was a little upset at first, but now she has accepted it--she even sent me a Playboy tank top in the mail, which I thought was cute. Everyone else I've told is extremely excited and can't wait to get a copy--and get it autographed!
PSE: ASU is considered a party school. What made you choose that school?
JH: When applying to colleges I created an equation that consisted of warm weather + large school = ASU. I've been on the dean's list three times and hope to graduate with honors. But once my school work is done, I love to go out in Scottsdale and party!
PSE: What are your plans after graduation?
JH: I would like to move to Los Angeles and pursue a behind-the-scenes career in entertainment.
