We know she survived, but we'll have to watch with everyone else to see how racecar driver and SE model Sammie Lee Bradley fared on NBC's Fear Factor Christmas. Tune in Monday, December 6 to find out what creepy-crawly surprises and nerve-wracking stunts she faced. On a tamer note, Sammie will begin shooting a music video with country music star Joe Nichols on December 4 .... Look for College Girl Kristin Cardenas to appear on the December/January cover of Lowrider magazine and in its 2005 calendar. You can also learn a thing or two more about this education major in the upcoming issue of Lingerie, on sale December 28 ... Editors of Solon, Ohio's Herald Sun featured native daughter Jennifer Nahra in a recent profile, citing her appearances in Fox's Who Wants to Be a Playboy Playmate?, in playboy.com's Cyber Club and SE's Exotic Beauties. She currently runs both a spa and boutique back home, but hopes to continue modeling for Playboy in the future ... Jannah Burnham, who debuted in October's Sexy Girls Next Door and who will next pop up in Wet & Wild, dropped us a note thanking us for letting her "boast about being in Playboy's SEs" and to remind fans they can visit her new website, www.jannahlynn.com, to purchase her 2005 calendar, her DVD and T-shirts ... College Girls cover girl Tammy Plante reports that the Canadian reaction to her appearance has been sensational. She's been all over the airwaves and in newspapers, and her website, www.tammyplante.com, has received over two million hits since the magazine hit newsstands in November. Next up are appearances for the Canadian Cancer Society and the Sick Kids Hospital ... Longtime SE model/singer/songwriter Angela Taylor sends news that she just completed work on a Shania Twain album alongside Cyndi Lauper and Nancy Sinatra, among others, that will be released soon. Her debut solo album, Songs for Strong Girls, is available on her website, www.angelataylor.com, and a brand new DVD will be released in early 2005 ... The guys at playboy.com liked what they saw in the March/April '04 issue of Lingerie so much that they decided to feature SE model Simone Linsell as Cyber Girl for the week of December 20 ... Watch for Girls with Girls '04 cover girl Andrea Lowell to guest on Playboy TV's Night Calls 411 on December 3 and again on December 31. She'll also show up on Spike TV's Ultimate Gamer on December 6. Why is this must-see TV? Because "I'm in three scenes with lots of closeups -- and very little clothing!" See her in even fewer duds in the upcoming issue of Hot Shots ... October '03's Playmate Audra Lynn has been cast in a new film opposite Eddie Furlong. Check her website www.audralynn.com for title and release dates ... Byron Newman makes beautiful music with a camera, but with a guitar and harmonica, too? Turns out Byron and four of his buddies have been performing in a band called Senior Service for two years. "The name was easy, since the cumulative age of our members is about 253 years. We get together once a week to practice and behave badly." The group just wrapped up their first London gig at the legendary Troubadour Club, which has also played host to Bob Dylan, The Who and Jimi Hendrix, among others. Byron hopes more bookings will follow, but "I'm not giving up my day job."
100th LINGERIE PARTY RECAP
We sure threw a helluva party. The November 5 bash and lingerie fashion show at Chicago's Rive nightclub was a blast for everyone there -- general attendees, the VIPs, the SE staff and our special guests, Lingerie cover girls Alley Baggett and Jaime Hammer. In addition to Chicago radio personalities, pro athletes and local celebs, the guest list included SE models Alba Clark, Christina Linehan and Jenny Haase, as well as Playmate Stephanie Glasson and Cyber Girl of the Week Marz Hook. We couldn't have pulled it off without the help of the Rive staff, the Playboy Catalog, Effen vodka and Exotic Limousines, and we thank them all for helping make this such a fabulous evening. Alley Baggett & Jaime Hammer
After a respectable period of post-party recovery, we asked December/January Lingerie cover models Jaime Hammer and Alley Baggett to reflect on the cover shoot and the 100th Lingerie party. Here's what they had to say.
PSE: What was it like shooting the cover with two other models?
AB: It was a lot easier working with only two models as opposed to six models at one time. Jaime and Courtney [Culkin] were great! They were a lot of fun and very sweet.
JH: I was super excited to make the cover of the 100th issue. To be a part of something that will become a collector's item is pretty cool. The only difficult part about working with other models is making sure everyone is paying attention and striking poses at the same time.
PSE: Our first female contest winner was at the shoot. What did you think?
AB: I was certainly surprised to see a female winner, but she was so excited to be at the shoot and to be hanging out with us afterwards at dinner that it was really fun. She said she was surprised to know that we, the models, were so down to earth. I think it's safe to say she had a very good time!
JH: I was definitely surprised to see a female winner, but also very excited because there usually isn't a strong female presence on the sets of these shoots.
PSE: Tell us about the 100th Lingerie Party.
AB: I had so much fun! First, Playboy put us up in the W Hotel right next to PB headquarters -- a very beautiful, cool place. Then we arrived at the party in an amazing super-stretch Hummer limo. Wow -- you could have fit around 20 people in there! The club itself, Rive, is just fabulous -- really roomy, with lots of bar stations, booths and tables and a great dance floor. I danced and got to hang out with some very special people. The night was great -- everything was perfect.
JH: As we arrived there was a line of people literally wrapped around the block trying to get in --I couldn't believe the turnout! I was later told they had to turn a lot of people away. We drank and danced the night away, and then at the end of the lingerie show we got to draw the winning names for the raffle. We gave away some great Playboy products and gift baskets. And Effen vodka, which helped sponsor the event, not only provided delicious refreshments, but also named drinks in our honor! I had a great time.
AB: The crowd was mostly men, of course. Everyone was there to see us and all the hot lingerie models on the runway. I loved the music they were playing, too -- shake your booty music! After the lingerie show we signed autographs and took pictures with some of the fans and gave each person a Playboy goodie bag filled with all kinds of great stuff.
JH: It was also fantastic seeing a giant-sized poster of the issue cover hanging right outside the club. That was really cool -- I felt like a star! And seeing all the people who showed up to celebrate with us was exciting and very gratifying. But everyone was really nice and having a fun time.
AB: Everyone was very well-behaved, although just to make sure, Jamie and I had two huge bodyguards who walked with us wherever we went. I'm sure no one would have bothered us, but these guys sure guaranteed it! The absolute best part of the evening was seeing everyone who I've grown to know over the past years at Playboy. It was really nice hanging out with them in such a casual atmosphere. The staff is one of the best things about working for Playboy. The worst part about it all was that it had to end. Many thanks to Special Editions for sharing this amazing experience and for bringing such wonderful people into my life.
