Fawna MacLaren, Playboy’s Miss January 1989, was born in Santa Monica, California. She graduated from Beverly Hills High School and was discovered by Elle magazine. Fawna worked as a model in Europe before being selected as the 35th Anniversary Playmate.
In addition to her Playmate of the Month pictorial, Fawna appeared in several Playboy videos and Special Editions. She had acting roles in the movies Dragonflight, Amoré!, Lady in Waiting, and Lover’s Leap as well as the made-for-TV movie The Cover Girl Murders.
In a 1989 interview, Fawna listed her aphrodisiacs for Playboy: “Oysters, more oysters, and Cristal champagne.” Her turn-ons include “a great dinner—champagne, caviar, oysters—home for some TV and lovemaking that lasts all night!” She’s turned off by “housework, men who think their money is sexy, running late, standing in line, and taxis.”
If you’ve ever wondered what you’d find in Fawna’s lingerie drawer, wonder no more. She described the contents for Playboy: “black lace panties, pink garter belts, sheer stockings, Dior bras, and love letters.”
