Surrounded by castle walls, palm trees and the turquoise water of the Adriatic sea, it’s easy to get totally lost in the historic city of Dubrovnik. Known for Old Town, a part of the city encircled with stonewalls completed in the 16th century, it makes perfect sense for Game of Thrones to regularly film there. If you want to immerse yourself in both land and sea of the tropical city, Hotel Dubrovnik Palace is the place to do it at. The five-star hotel combines ancient history with modern amenities, and boasts some of the coolest views of the Adriatic you’ll ever find. I may have almost died in Dubrovnik hanging off an ocean-side cliff and spent way too much money, aka Kunas, but this Mediterranean city is always worth the money and the slight danger. I promise.
