A IS FOR ANNE
[. . . and also for amourous, amenable and abundant: all of which might aptly describe Anne Fleming, the stunning dance instructor who is our Playmate this month. But don't tarry here -- flip the page and find your own adjectives.
Anne's Playmate photo is one of few shots that doesn't offer direct eye contact with the reader. Photographer Hal Adams actually shot it both ways, but Hefner picked the more unusual--and provocative--pose. The alternate, in which Anne looks at the camera but there is no male presence suggesting an intimate encounter about to occur, appears in the January 1956 feature "The First Two Dozen Playmates."
