Playmate Claudia Jennings suggested that Playboy consider Mercy as a Centerfold. At the time, Mercy was a Bunny at the Los Angeles Playboy Club, working as a self-employed seamstress on the side. On her data sheet she listed escargot as her favorite food and described her ideal man as graying, strong and boyish. Asked what she wanted out of life in general, Mercy wrote "Happiness, family, life - and time to enjoy it."
