This intimate set finds Shera home alone, barely dressed but for the light filtered through sheer white curtains. Her blonde hair is tousled, her grey eyes shadowed, and her lips form a delicate pout. She leans back in a highback chair and slips off her sheer top; she reclines, delectably nude, on a damask sofa. The room is filled with collectibles – shelves of books, a brass clock, rare stone and porcelain – but the real collector’s item is Shera, portrayed by Ryan as a true objet d’art. “To get in the mood for a shoot, I’ll think of being with someone I really like,” says Shera. “Or someone I haven’t been with – yet.”
