Abbie Cornish in Somersault (2004)

Director Kimberly Peirce, who penetrated gender-identity issues so memorably in Boys Don't Cry (1999) sets her sights on the plight of Iraq War veterans in the new drama Stop Loss (2008). Ryan Phillipe stars as an army sergeant who returns home to Texas, begins life anew and then gets called back into active duty overseas. Making his return is the presence of Abbie Cornish as Michelle, a vision of T&A perfection who certainly seems worth going AWOL for. For a truly awe-inspiring opportunity to ogle Australia native Abbie in the buff, though, check out the 2004 film Somersault (2004). Not only does Abbie treat us to five different nude scenes, she even runs outside butt-naked at the 55-minute mark.
