Maria Bello in The Cooler (2003)

The toxically funny satire Thank You for Smoking opens in theaters on March 17th. It's a tale of big-money government lobbyists that focuses on Aaron Eckhart as a tobacco industry representative and hard-bodied, husky-voiced E.R. vixen Maria Bello as his colleague in the field of alcohol promotion. One of Eckhart's key missions in the film is to convey the message that "smoking is cool," while Maria need just appear on screen to convince us that whatever she's hawking is the epitome of hot. For all the pic's sharp-witted pleasures, however, we can not say Thank You here for any footage of Maria in the raw. Fortunately, she's provided us with numerous past opportunities. You can see a naked Maria in Permanent Midnight (1998), Duets (2000), Auto Focus (2002) and last year's acclaimed A History of Violence, wherein she bares what she's got Bello. My pick for the peak look at Maria's lusciousness, however, is the 2003 Las Vegas hit The Cooler. At the 40-minute mark, Maria beds down with William H. Macy for a sex scene that showcases every naked inch of Maria's flawless form. Talk about hitting a jackpot!
