PB: So was it the money that lured you into becoming a dancer?
LR: No, it actually wasn't about the money -- I got into it for fun! About a year and a half ago, a friend of mine was trying out at the Flamingo, and I decided to go onstage and put on a little show for my husband, who was in the audience. You know, just give him a little striptease. When I did it, some of the dancers said, "Hey, you're pretty good. You should work here." And I thought, "Why not? It couldn't hurt to work one night a week, right?" So that's how I got started.
PB: Do you ever dance in other clubs?
LR: Sometimes I go up to Vegas and I work at Paradise, right across from the Hard Rock Casino.
PB: Do you have any special outfits you wear when you work?
LR: Oh, I've got a few of them. I actually have a schoolgirl outfit -- and the guys love it! I have two other themes -- a cheerleading uniform and my American woman outfit -- it's like a stars-and-stripes outfit. The audience loves it.
PB: Would you like to continue dancing throughout your college career?
LR: Yeah, but I'm just doing it to pay for college. Once I start my career, I'm going to stop dancing. I'm a kinesiology major, and I want to be a physical therapist someday, which fits in with my love of sports. So you can see that sports is my life. For a while, after I got kicked off the team, I would cry every day. And most of my classes are by the track, so every time I'm done with school, I have to see track practice going on without me. Now that I'm not running, it's like a part of me is missing.
