Hello! Welcome
to my Playmate Personal Page.
I was born
in Mesa, Arizona on October 26, 1978 -- yes, Im a Scorpio.
It was a quiet but hot town, often hitting 120 degrees during
the summer. Air-conditioning was essential if you didn't want
to die. As a result, I stayed indoors much of the time.
My parents
divorced when I was just a few months old, and my father remarried
quickly. He had two daughters, who are now my beautiful, extremely
smart, younger half sisters. My mother remarried a few years later,
but my stepfather passed away at a young age, so she was single
once again. When I was around 11, my father worked primarily as
an accountant and was involved in politics and was treasurer for
a well-known senator. I spent most of my time with my mother but
saw my father on weekends.
In school,
I primarily concentrated on theater. I appeared in several modern
plays, such as the teen-oriented Makin' It and murder-mystery
Any Body for Tea? written by no one especially famous.
In addition to acting, I served as a stage manager behind the
scenes, which was fun -- but I had more fun onstage. It must be
the exhibitionist in me.
Journalism
was also a big part of my life. I edited my junior high school
newspaper and was editor in chief of my high school paper for
two years. At the age of 15, I also began writing for major newspapers
such as The Mesa Tribune and The Arizona Republic.
Most of my published articles were book reviews or on high school-related
subjects. It was very rewarding to get a byline at such a young
age, and I think that reading avidly while I was growing up strongly
contributed to my writing skills. I read practically anything
I could get my hands on, whether it was Stephen King, Lawrence
Ferlinghetti, Edgar Allen Poe, Judy Blume or Joyce Carol Oates.
I was eclectic from an early age!
Before leaving
high school, my GPA was a 4.4. Most people think 4.0 is the highest,
but honors students who take "weighted" classes can
get up to a 5.0, depending on how many weighted classes they take.
If a class is weighted -- harder courses or studying at a higher
level -- the grades have more value and can therefore affect your
GPA accordingly, allowing a student to surpass a 4.0. I was lucky
enough to be enrolled in a pilot program for honors students and
studied concurrently in high school and in a community college.
Since I'm bad with accents, for my language requirement I took
three years of Latin (no one speaks it anymore).
