I started modeling shortly after entering college. I started out as the makeup artist for other models, but soon was drawn to the other side of the lens. After some local jobs, I got interested in acting. So I moved from my small town to Dallas and began taking acting classes. Before I had even finished my first course, I landed a part in a short independent film -- Headless at the Fair, which was a big winner that year at the Slamdance Film Festival.
Then came Playboy, my life's dream! I submitted some photos, got a phone call and a plane ticket and tested in Chicago. The people at Playboy were so wonderful! To see unpublished photos from my Playmate pictorial join the Playboy Cyber Club. I was nervous at first, but soon felt like I was with family. After my layout was finished, I was flown to Los Angeles to shoot my Playmate video and host on Playboy TV. I stayed at the Mansion during this time. Man, was I in heaven! The animals, the food, the parties...I could go on and on! Meeting Hef was probably the most exciting thing ever to happen to me. He is the most generous, caring person I have ever met. Most people are intimidated by him, but I found him to be quite down-to-earth and respectful.
After becoming a Playmate, I had a lot of success in TV and film and most recently a big print campaign! You may know that a few years ago, I was cast on CBS' Buddy Faro, an hourlong weekly "dramedy." I played Astra Lowe, a Canadian-Irish mobster's daughter who runs away from her daddy to gain independence. Shortly after that I was cast, along with Miss January 1999 Jaime Bergman, in an independent film produced by Gus Van Sant and directed by Rick Perry called Speedway Junkie, which should be out in theaters soon.
