While things seemed to be going great, I decided to head back to Dallas for a bit. But I just couldn't get California out of my head, and after six months of being back in the Big D, I decided to move to the West Coast for good. Upon my arrival in LA, I received a phone call from friend and photographer Andy Perleman. He asked if I would be interested in auditioning for a print campaign for St. Pauli Girl. I said, "Sure!" I absolutely didn't think that I had a chance, but went ahead anyway. Shortly after the test, I received a call, and you guessed it -- I was the new spokesmodel and print model for St. Pauli Girl! By the way, the photographer who shot the campaign is Glynn Jones, a terrific guy who pushed for me to be chosen. Thanks a million, Glynn!
I just love my spokesmodel outfit: It's a barmaid uniform updated for the new millennium by Trashy Lingerie. I wore it on a nationwide tour as the St. Pauli Girl that had me in a new city every day, appearing on radio spots and morning TV shows, signing posters at basketball games and, in a joint promotion with Playboy, shooting the puck for charity at a Chicago Blackhawks game. I've met so many exciting people through this, including the Chicago Bulls players we met at a restaurant one time and drove back to their hotel. That was all over the news the next day -- that a Playmate had given the players door-to-door service the night before. We had a blast.
