Hi! Welcome to my Personal Page! I'm sure you all remember me as Playboy's
Miss August 1967, but I have actually been modeling since I was 14 years old. Since then I have been very busy with my modeling career,
as well other pursuits I picked up along the way. I guess I should start at the beginning.
My life in the spotlight began when I was just one year old, when I won the Better Baby Beauty Contest. Things went back to normal for
a while after that, and I spent my days growing up in Burbank, California with my older sister. Then one day I was approached at the
local swimming pool by photographer Leon Beauchemin. He eventually convinced me to start modeling, and it all took off from there. And
I was only 14! My first magazine cover was the May 1962 issue of Teen magazine. That led to modeling jobs for other teen and
movie magazines, as well as small appearances on television shows, such as The Donna Reed Show and Leave it to Beaver.
But being as shy as I was, acting just wasn't for me.
When I turned 18, I finally gave in to Leon's persuasion and he sent in some photos to Playboy magazine's Assistant Picture Editor Marilyn
Grabowski (she's now Playboy's West Coast Photo Editor). Well, the story is a little longer than that. I had always wanted to do Playboy, but I was so shy that I couldn't imagine
posing in the nude! But my ex's new girlfriend at the time was testing for Playboy, so that helped push me past my shyness and give me
the courage to try out myself. And guess what? I made it in and she didn't! Needless to say, I got over my shyness pretty quickly after
that.
