In August 1997 I
was in Playboy Germany's 25th Anniversary Issue in a ten-page pictorial.
Because I had told Playboy that I wanted to stop doing nude modeling and
focus 100 percent on my acting career, they planned the most exciting
and best photo shoot of my life as a goodbye gift: Playboy Contributing
Photographer Stephen Wayda and his crew flew with me to South Africa for
a three-week shoot. It was a very interesting few weeks, to say the
least.
After a 26-hour flight, we had to jump in a four-seater Cessna
for another hour. A jeep picked us up and took us to the camp. From that
moment on, every day brought new surprises.
Sunset -- and the adventure began. I was looking for
my hotel -- wrong! Somebody from the camp showed me to my tent. At first
I thought I was dreaming. But it was reality. There was just a little
tent, an outside toilet and an outside shower that was really just a
bucket on a pole. I asked for the light switch and instead received a
smile, an oil lamp and matches. Oh my God...no electricity!
