I
was the January 1997 Playmate of the Month. Marilyn Monroe was the
cover girl, which was both a wonderful surprise and a haunting comfort,
knowing she would forever be in those pages with me. Only in Playboy
could an unknown nanny be a feature in the same issue with the legendary
and captivating Monroe.
That I was in Playboy at all is a source of amusement to those who
know me. The sexy images are such a contrast to the buttoned-up
and socially awkward reality, yet I enjoy the paradox. In person
I doubt that I am what most would expect a Playmate to be. Utterly
lacking that certain attitude that is essential to sex appeal, I'm
not in the least sexy, nor do I like to wear trendy or sexy clothes.
I prefer khakis and loafers to dresses and heels.
