I believe that everyone is a product of his or her environment. My environment growing up in San Diego was filled with a loving and supportive family. I was actually born in Corpus Christi, Texas, then we moved to Hawaii, then to San Diego, where my family still lives today. I grew up always trying to emulate my older sister. It wasn't until Mom introduced me to golf at the age of 12 that I started to find my own niche. Golf is such a great sport to start at such a young age because it taught me discipline, etiquette and respect for adults (considering I was the only 12-year-old girl playing on the course). Then in high school I became a cheerleader, wrote for the school paper, was nominated to the homecoming court and was voted a finalist for "most irresistible" and "class flirt." Hee-hee.
