Because I was visiting from Arizona, I got to stay at the Playboy
Mansion's guest house. People always wonder what the Mansion is like: In a nutshell, it's beautiful. It is just covered with
gorgeous ferns, trees and flowers. I'm an animal lover, so I enjoyed
the atrium with its exotic birds, monkeys and even a rabbit hutch.
I also had the pleasure of meeting many celebrities.
I still remember my first autograph session. I was feeling anxious and
unsure of what to expect. As the time for the session to begin drew near, I noticed a long line of people forming. Then reality hit -- they were there to see me! It's funny because the day before I had walked through the mall unnoticed. Fans seem to connect with me as the Playmate from the fried-chicken place, where I continued to work for a time after my issue came out. When the May 1984 issue hit the newsstands, a lot of people were coming in to buy small sodas. Fried
chicken wasn't the big item!
