The experiences I had are invaluable to me -- I enjoyed every minute! After several years of travel, I stayed home to resume my prior life -- or, I tried to. "Once a Playmate, always a Playmate," I was once told. NO PRIVACY!!!! That troubled me. I don't consider myself a private person, but I want to be public when I want to be public. I can't tell you how many times I was pulled over by the police in my township. Alleged boyfriends came out of the woodwork. Aunt Erma's next door neighbor's dentist's son's nephew had to have an autograph. The feed store wanted to trade critter chow for autographs. I tried to answer all of my fan mail, do all interviews and make all appearances -- lots of work! But modeling jobs were pouring in and all was well.
Somehow, during all this madness, I met my husband -- or, shall I say, met him again. We had known each other casually for years. We ran into one another in Chicago, where he was living and I was working for Playboy at the Consumer Electronics Show. It was truly like the bolt of lightning that until then I had only read about! After almost a year of dating, he moved back to St. Louis (his hometown as well). We married in January of 1988. We now live in a beautiful old log house deep in the woods. We started building and restoring our house just after we were married. The only disagreement we had during the entire project was about what sort of doorknob to put on the door! We are currently building a post-and-beam English-style barn. The projects never end! We have two adorable little girls, lots of animals and gardens galore! My husband is my best friend and life is very much the way I imagined it would be and I know that I am truly blessed!
Thanks for stopping by!
