Within a month I was approved as Miss May 1994. My experience with Playboy opened a world of possibilities. In late October of 1995 I packed my stuff and drove cross country from New Orleans to that crazy tinsel town that I reside in today, LA. And there a new relationship bloomed.
On my first trip to LA for my test shoot, I was a little late getting on the plane (not unusual for me). When I got to my seat, a man had sat there already and refused to move. So I took the seat next to him, and we ended up talking the entire flight. Somehow he weaseled a dinner date with me and from then on a close friendship grew, which then led to a romance. On a weekend trip to Jazzfest in New Orleans a few years later, we decided on a whim to get married. We called our friends and relatives and got them down there quickly, and we married right there on Bourbon Street. And now, two years later, we have a new love in our lives -- our first son. I love being a mother. I always thought I would wait for my career to move along first, but he is such a blessing to me. I love taking him on my runs along the beach every morning. We couldn't be happier.
For a while after I did Playboy, I decided to try out modeling and acting as a career. One of my first jobs was for Venus Swimwear magazine. I was flown with nine other models to the Dominican Republic for a seven-day photo shoot. What a blast!
Leaving no stone unturned, I decided to fully explore the print world. Besides appearing in numerous issues of Playboy's Book of Lingerie, I have been on the cover of Frederick's of Hollywood, Venus Swimwear, Swimwear Illustrated, the Flirts catalog and a Molson beer poster! Modeling has taken me to places such as Hong Kong, Jamaica, Hawaii, Denmark and Canada. What a great way to see the world -- for free! Modeling was great fun, but I started to get a little restless, so I set off to discover a new way to satisfy my appetite!
