Becoming a Playmate is such a dream come true. I feel so honored and lucky to have been chosen as the first Valentine Playmate for the new millennium. Getting on the Playboy 2000 Playmate Search Bus in Miami was the wisest decision that I ever could have made!

Before that, I was just a small-town Florida girl who grew up in strange surroundings. My family runs a big tourist attraction that's almost like a zoo: There are alligators, emus, hogs, panthers and ostriches. When I was little, I would help bottle-feed the baby panthers. They sure are cute when they're babies! There were always all kinds of animals running around. Maybe that's why I still love animals so much now.

In high school I played basketball, volleyball and softball. I did everything to make life growing up in a small town more interesting. We just hung out and went boating. I think it was a pretty good way to grow up.

After high school, I moved to Miami and started modeling for swimsuit catalogs and Boating magazine, and I did some commercials for overseas companies. Most of the work in Miami is international, so I knew I would eventually have to move to either New York or LA to find more work. Then my manager told me about the Search Bus, and everything else followed.
