That
first contact with Playboy in Miami was a lot of fun and everyone was
really nice, but I never thought they would call me back. I had always
dreamed of being in Playboy. All the women in the magazine look so beautiful
and glamorous. I just didn't think they'd want me! But I guess they did,
because soon after, Playboy called me and flew me to Chicago for a test
shoot. Shortly after that, I was called back to shoot my pictorial. I
was so surprised when they called me. I just knew that my life was about
to change.
Those
two trips to Chicago were my first experiences with snow and freezing-cold
weather. Let me tell you, I hardly felt prepared. There was a huge snowstorm.
What a welcome to the Midwest! But I loved every minute of it.
Around
this time I also got involved with Hawaiian Tropic swimsuit competitions.
A girlfriend and I just thought it would be fun, so we entered and started
winning! Eventually I won the U.S. finals in Las Vegas. Then came the
internationals, which I lost. But I did win the honor of Most Photogenic,
which is better for my career anyway. So all's well that ends well!
My
life has been so awesome since I posed for Playboy. I recently moved to
California, where I am pursuing my acting and modeling career. I can only
hope that I will do well. I've started taking acting classes to perfect
my craft, because you don't get anything unless you work for it! And hey,
if it doesn't work out, I can always go back to the Everglades and wrestle
alligators!
