After graduating high school, I became involved with modeling and had a chance meeting with Julia Schultz on a photo shoot for GirlStar clothing. She suggested that I pose for Playboy and left me the phone number for Playboy Studio West. Before I met Julia, I thought that only plastic bimbos posed for the magazine. But after meeting her and seeing my first Playboy, featuring an amazing pictorial of Kalin Olson, my perception totally changed. I posed as soon as I turned 18. I was extremely self-conscious throughout my Playmate shoot because I had no idea what I was doing. When I look back at my layout now, my expressions seem very unnatural. If I only knew then what I know now, I would have been less uptight and I think my pictures would be a lot more spirited. But I do love the pictures that I took with my pug dog, Jezabel -- she hung out with me the entire time of my shoot. To see unpublished photos from my Playmate pictorial, join the Playboy Cyber Club I don't think that any of my friends believed me when I told them that I was going to be a Playmate. My parents were devastated when they found out and they kicked me out of the house. I am so grateful that I was able to stay at the Playboy Mansion until I could find an apartment in Los Angeles. I think that my parents were worried that I was going to get involved with drugs and the porn industry, but when they saw that I didn't, we repaired our relationship and now were closer than ever. |
