Growing up in Santa Barbara, California was quite a treat. I was a total beach bunny. I still to this day can't live too far from the ocean, and I never want to leave California. Like most of the Playmates, I was a tomboy who discovered my father's Playboys at an early age (around nine or ten). I saw the Playmates as beautiful and feminine, and I wanted to be like them. At about age 11 I told my stepfather, "One day I'm going to be a Playboy Bunny!" He said, "When you're 18 you can do what you want." Well, that was good enough for me.

As far as my childhood goes, there is not much to say. I grew up in a middle-class family in a nice neighborhood. I have a brother who is one year older. He was born in Boston where my dad is from, but my parents split before I was born and my mother went back to California to have me. My father raised my brother in Boston, and I was raised in California with my mother and stepfather. There is always confusion when I say I was raised an only child. No matter how far apart we were, Bryan and I always remained close.
