Hit the decks with DJ Colleen Shannon. A stunning blonde with blue eyes, she’s Miss January 2004 – not to mention our 50th Anniversary Playmate, selected from more than 10,000 applicants. The road to Playboy was long – Colleen was born and raised on Pelican, Alaska, an island with fewer than three hundred inhabitants. “There were no cars, and we had to drink powdered milk,” she says. “It was wild.” She moved to California, and since then, it’s been champagne and roses – she’s touted as the world’s sexiest DJ, and she shares the stage with big leaugers, like Paul Oakenfold, Funk Master Flex and Snoop Dogg. “I still can’t believe I’m a Playmate,” she says. “But being a DJ is my calling.” And she’s not phoning it in – she found time for spreads in Playboy, Maxim, FHM and Loaded, commercials, three music videos, four films, and an episode of How I Met Your Mother, all on top of an international touring schedule. “Everyone is here to do something,” she says. “For me, it’s being a Playmate and a celebrity DJ. I’m blessed to be able to do something I love.”
