Go long with Heather Knox, our Playmate of the Month for January 2012. A die-hard Colts fan from Indianapolis, Indiana, she’s a shapely blonde with blue eyes, and what an offensive player might call a tight end. “I used to wait tables at a sports bar,” she says, “and that’s how I got into football. This year the Super Bowl is hosted in Indianapolis, and I can’t wait!” Heather gets to eat wings and watch the Giants play the Pats from Playboy’s private suite – a place that any guy would love to take, and just another perk that comes with her new job as Miss January. 

Heather was a cheerleader in high school, and a big hit with the guys on the football team. When she was nineteen, she faked ID to get into a Playboy event, but she wouldn’t be discovered for another seven years. She attended a casting call in Columbus, Ohio, and the casting agent liked her look and booked her for a test shoot. “A few weeks later, she called me and told me that Hef had approved my test for Playmate,” she says. “I couldn’t believe it.” Heather had never posed nude, but she warmed up for veteran Playboy photographer Arny Freytag . “This is all new to me,” she says, “but so far, it’s been better than I could ever have imagined. I can’t wait to ring in the New Year as Miss January.”

Miss Knox is single, and with the new year laid out ahead of her, she’s busy devising her game plan. She’ll divide her time between her home in Indianapolis and her room at the Playboy Mansion in Los Angeles. “I’m going to be very busy with my Playmate contract,” she says, “but I want to use this opportunity to learn more about myself.” As a former waitress, Heather is forward with guys, and she never makes an incomplete pass. “If I like what I see, I don’t hesitate to go over and talk to him,” she says, confident. “There’s no better person to be but yourself.”
