Germans are known for their perfectionism, and dark-haired Schöne Janine Habeck, our Miss September 2006, is no exception. Half German, half Italian, she was raised in West Berlin, Germany. “I remember when the Berlin Wall fell,” she says. Janine was Playmate of the Month and Year in Germany, and she was one of twelve International models to pose for our World Soccer Team pictorial. Hef invited her to stay at the Mansion – and to be the second-ever German Playmate to pose for the American Centerfold. “I’m close with Hef and his girlfriends,” she says. She went on to appear on four episodes of The Girls Next Door and raunchy comedy The Pool Boys. “Being a Playmate in America is a lot different than being a Playmate in Germany,” she says. “In America, you become a celebrity. You go to dinner in a limousine, and your bunny costume is tailored to your measurements. Mine is purple.” Janine has returned to Berlin, and she continues to promote for Playboy International. “Playboy is sexy, not sexist,” she says. “Playmates are beautiful and confident, and I’m proud to be one of them.”
