Tag along with Raquel Gibson, our Miss November 2012. Tan-skinned, with brown hair, brown eyes and full lips, she’s made for an island paradise. “My father is an Italian New Yorker, and my mother is Filipina,” she says, casual. “I have family in Japan and the Philippines. I’m fluent in Tagalog.” From Clearwater, on the Gulf Coast of Florida, Raquel was a member of the USA National Bikini Team when she was selected to become a Playmate. A woman of many talents, she has a real estate license and a degree in the culinary arts, and had planned to go to medical school to study pediatrics. But she found her calling as a Playmate, and after a few episodes of The Girls Next Door and a tour of Miami on Bridget’s Sexiest Beaches, she was a successful model and hostess. “A Playmate is strong and confident, and she doesn’t care what other people think,” she says. “That’s the kind of girl I want to be.” Raquel lives in the Tampa Bay area, and when she’s not working, she’s on the computer. “I’m not a party girl,” she admits. “I don’t have a type, but I want a good man who loves his mom. Family is a big part of my life.”
