Meet Amateur Thuy Li, from Orange County, California. She’s petite – 5’4” – and Vietnamese-American, with long, dark hair and full lips. “And wide hips,” she says, laughing. “For an Asian girl.” Thuy is a model and bartender, and as an OG from the OC, she has what it takes to make it in LA. “I was born here, but my parents are from Saigon,” she says. “We didn’t have a lot of money, so I had to work for what I wanted.” Thuy graduated from college in four years, and paid her own tuition, too. “I worked full-time at a bar,” she says. “And I loved it so much that I’m still there!” Thuy makes a mean drink, and if she’s not behind the bar, she’s in front of it. “My signature drink is a shot of Goose with a Patron back and a beer chaser,” she says, proud. “That’ll do it.” Speaking of ‘doing it’, Thuy has a boyfriend, and he doesn’t mind if she brings a girl home with her. “With men, it’s all about the chemistry. I’m either into him or I’m not,” she says. “Women are a different story.”
