Get ready to rock with Holley Ann Dorrough, Playboy’s Miss April 2006. She’s tall (5’8”), and with fine blond hair and blue eyes, you might not guess she was part Cherokee and Blackfoot Indian. “I’m from Gadsden, a small town in northern Alabama,” she told Playboy. “I moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in the entertainment industry.”
She tested for Playmate and got on the guest list at the Midsummer Night’s Dream party at the Mansion. “I introduced myself to Hef at the door,” she recalled. “I said, ‘I’m Holley, and I’m your next Playmate. My pictures are on the desk in your office.’” Her confidence made an impression. Three days later the magazine called her and asked her to shoot for the Centerfold.
Holley is a Playmate, but she’ll never forget where she came from. She’s a good old-fashioned Southern girl and always will be. “I’d rather cook for a man than be taken out for dinner,” she said. “Fried chicken, mashed potatoes, okra—you name it, I know how to make it.”
Holley is a successful model, and she has a few more tricks up her sleeve. In 2012 she had a small role on HBO’s Luck, and she’s pursuing a career as a lead vocalist. Before moving to Los Angeles Holley sang with a band called Rock and Roll Centerfold. It performed mostly covers of 1980s bands. “I miss my friends and family in Alabama, but I love Los Angeles and all it has to offer,” she said.
What turns this rock and roll centerfold on? Respect, passion, a great smile, and blue eyes. Her turnoffs include smoking, drugs, cockiness, and bad teeth.
