Kim Kardashian, the voluptuous Armenian-American princess, is the very definition of the modern celebutante. And thanks to pop culture, reality TV, her appearances in Playboy and Kim’s willingness to make her life an open book, we know all about her.
Kim’s a socialite, reality TV star, business owner, designer, model/actress, and occasional singer. You name it, she does it—she has her own lines of clothing, boutique, cosmetics, and perfume. She stars on her own reality series, Keeping Up with the Kardashians, and she has guest-starred on Dancing With the Stars, Celebrity Apprentice, How I Met Your Mother, and 90210. She’s a bestselling author, too—her two books, “Dollhouse” and “Kardashian Konfidential,“ made the New York Times bestseller List.
“I would absolutely characterize myself as ambitions,” the Los Angeles native said in an interview with Harper’s Bazaar.
Plus, she’s got a famous family. Her father, Robert, was O.J. Simpson’s attorney in his murder trial, and her look-alike sisters all have their own brands of celebrity. Plus she married Kanye West—with whom she had a daughter, North—in 2014.
She’s also known for a widely viewed sex tape recorded with Ray J and leaked in 2007. Among other relationships, Kim previously married record producer Damon Thomas and NBA player Kris Humphries (their historically short 72-day marriage created a media blitz not unlike the one that covered the couple’s wedding).
Her 2014 cover on Paper magazine wasn’t overlooked either. In it, Kim stands with a champagne glass balanced on her booty and champagne arching over her head to splash into it. Other pics from the shoot show her nude and shining with body oil.
“I love sharing my world with people,” Kardashian said in the Paper interview. “That’s just who I am.”
