Lisa Baker, Playboy’s Miss November 1966, went on to be named Playmate of the Year 1967. Lisa was born in Detroit, Texas. (Yes, there is a Detroit, Texas.) She told Playboy, “I have four brothers and three sisters. My family moved from Texas to Broken Bow, Oklahoma, when I was two, then I moved to Los Angeles when I turned 18.” In high school Lisa worked as a “soda jerk” at Hewitt’s Drug Store in Broken Bow. After she moved to L.A. she worked in the loan service department of a savings and loan.
After posing for Playboy Lisa appeared on The Jonathan Winters Show and was a Budweiser girl on The Tonight Show. She played the lead in the 1976 movie Hot Summer in the City.
Lisa told Playboy she’s turned on by “speedboats and skiing” and turned off by “car washes, freeways, and loudness.” Her favorite sports are “baseball, speed-boat racing, and sports-car racing.” She confessed, “I wish I were less impulsive. It gets me in trouble!”
