Red Raider
½ oz. triple sec
1 oz. bourbon whiskey
1 oz. lemon juice
1 dash grenadine syrup
Shake all ingredients with ice, strain into a cocktail glass and serve.

Fight songs, cheers, floppy foam fingers -- these are all fine ways of showing your support at a college football game. But whether he's at the pregame tailgate party or gathered with friends in the comfort of his living room, the Playboy fan knows that an apt cocktail can rally the troops. Each week, we bring you a pair of potables tied to an important matchup. Hut, hut, hike!

SEPTEMBER 29:
Texas Tech Red Raiders vs. Texas A&M Aggies

How on earth do they play football under the Texas sun in September? Frighteningly well, actually. There really is nothing like Texas football -- you've got dust in your eyes and dirt in your mouth, you're a mild breeze short of heatstroke and you can't hear a damn thing for all the cowbells and yee-haws. And this is just in the stands. Then someone scores and they shoot something: rifles, cannons, surface-to-air missiles. Guys are literally taking their cowboy hats off and waving them around and stomping their boots like extras in a Gary Cooper movie. There may be livestock on the field. This is football, dangit. Someone make a drink.
COME BACK NEXT WEEK FOR:
