Week 3:  Titans at Saints, Sept. 24, 8:30 p.m.
Football is the ultimate team game, but this one's all about Vince Young and Bush in a rematch of the 2006 Texas-USC Rose Bowl, one of the great college games ever. Sure, both had growing pains in their rookie seasons (VY ranked 36th in QB rating while Bush averaged just 3.6 yards per rush), but they also showed flashes of why they're two of the game's most exciting young players: Young on improvised scrambles and Bush on pass receptions.

Others to watch: Chargers at Packers; 49ers at Steelers; Lions at Eagles; Cardinals at Ravens; Jaguars at Broncos; Bengals at Seahawks; Cowboys at Bears.

Week 4:  Broncos at Colts, Sept. 30, 4:15 p.m.
The Young Gun vs. the Old Pro. Jay Cutler vs. Peyton Manning. Denver opens the season with three very winnable games, so the buzz surrounding Cutler for this showdown against sure-fire Hall of Famer Manning could be big. Still, even if they're 3-0, this will be a very tough spot for Cutler and the Broncos in which to win.

Others to watch: Rams at Cowboys; Steelers at Cardinals; Patriots at Bengals.

Week 5:  Ravens at 49ers, Oct. 7, 4:15 p.m.
Folks in Baltimore think the addition of Willis McGahee makes them a serious Super Bowl contender -- and it's hard to argue. The former Bill should improve a rushing attack that ranked 25th in the league. San Francisco is on the upswing for the fist time in years, and this will be a great test for the young 49ers.

Others to watch: Giants at Jets; Seahawks at Steelers.

Week 6:  Eagles at Jets, Oct. 14, 1:00 p.m.
This ought to be a fun game: two of the most passionate fan bases and two teams with plenty of optimism and plenty of question marks. Philly and New York surprised many by qualifying for the postseason in '06, but will Donovan McNabb stay healthy in '07 and will second-year Jets coach Eric Mangini suffer a sophomore slump?

Others to watch: Bengals at Chiefs; Saints at Seahawks; Patriots at Cowboys; Rams at Ravens; Panthers at Cardinals.

Week 7:  Steelers at Broncos, Oct. 21, 8:15 p.m.
By this time of the season, we should know two things: whether the Steelers faithful will be bemoaning Bill Cowher's retirement and whether Denver's Cutler is making steady improvement in his first full season as a starting QB. But new Pittsburgh coach Mike Tomlin can take comfort in knowing that he's just the team's third coach since 1969, so management will be patient with him.

Others to watch: Bears at Eagles; Jets at Bengals.

Former Texas Longhorn Vince Young will try to lead his team past USC alum Reggie Bush (again) when the Titans face the Saints in Week 3.

Week 8:  Giants vs. Dolphins, Oct. 28, 1:00 p.m.
This may not be the best matchup on our list (aw, hell, who are we kidding, it's the worst), but it IS the first regular-season NFL game to ever be played outside North America. It'll take place in London's Wembley Stadium, so that's one reason to tune in. Will the crowd be singing the songs usually heard at British soccer matches? We hope so, even if we're not sure what exactly they're saying.

Others to watch: Colts at Panthers; Packers at Broncos.
