Melissa Evridge, Playboy’s Miss August 1990, was born in Lexington, Kentucky. Her family was in the thoroughbred business, so Melissa grew up around horses and began riding at age 3.
Melissa’s first Playboy appearance was in an October 1989 “Girls of the Southeastern Conference” pictorial. After being named Playmate of the Month in August 1990, she appeared on the cover of Playboy’s October 1990 issue. At the time she told us her ambitions included “furthering my modeling career and living a full, happy life.” In addition to modeling, she is a passionate environmentalist. She told Playboy it’s important to her that “people start taking responsibility for our environment.”
Melissa opened up to Playboy about what turns her on: “soft jazz, walks on the beach, and good times with friends.” Her turnoffs include “people who pretend to be something they aren’t and people who litter.” How would Melissa describe her ideal man? “The all-American type, polite and sensitive, sexy, athletic, and fun.”
