The Wildcats are trying to return to the glory days, and while they may not contend for the national title, the program is in much better shape than it was a year ago. The key for coach Billy Gillispie is a healthy Patrick Patterson, the do-everything forward who battled injuries a year ago. There are several talented newcomers, notably point guard Kevin Galloway, a junior college transfer, and freshman DeAndre Liggins, who could end up running this offense. Up front, the Wildcats will need a significant contribution from 6-7 freshman Darius Miller.
