Coach Of The Year
Urban Meyer - Florida
It only took Urban Meyer two years to accomplish the goal of winning a national championship at Florida. And the Gators accomplished the feat despite a schedule ranked as the toughest by the NCAA, a schedule that included six ranked teams and 11 teams that played in bowl games. But then Urban is accustomed to success, having arrived at Florida the year after guiding Utah to a perfect 12-0 season, the school's first in 75 years. Meyer began his head coaching success story at Bowling Green in 2001 where he engineered a six-win improvement over the previous season. His head coaching career record is an impressive 61-12.
