Mike Leach is heading into his eighth season in Lubbock. Red Raiders fans are loving him.
Last season:
9-4. Quarterback Graham Harrell engineered a thrilling comeback win over Virginia in the Gator Bowl, 31-28.
Studs:
Returning wide receiver Michael Crabtree is a consensus All-American and Biletnikoff Award winner. Harrell, who led the nation in passing last year with 5,705 yards and 48 TDs, returns for his third season as starter. Indeed, eight other starters from last year's high-scoring offense are back as well, so expect the Raiders to light up the scoreboard. The defense returns eight starters; Leach says his defensive line, once a weakness, is now a strength.

No team will look forward to playing Texas Tech this coming season. The Raiders have enough firepower to knock over anyone in the conference, especially if the defense is able to tilt time of possession in the team's favor.
