Coach:
Dan Hawkins has been at Colorado for two years since leaving the head coaching job at Boise State.

Last season:
6-7

Studs: Offensive center Daniel Sanders and defensive tackle George Hippolite are both big, strong and dynamic layers on the line. Hawkins also has his own son, Cody, playing quarterback. Cody started all 13 games last season as a freshman and set several school records. Unfortunately, one of those records was for interceptions (15). He'll do better in that department this season.

Scoop: Colorado is another North Division team in the Big 12 that has lost ground in the past couple of years to Missouri and Kansas. Hawkins was looking to quickly transition the success that he had at Boise State to Boulder but it has proven to be a greater challenge than anticipated. Last year's team was very young. A year's experience should help the Buffaloes in the win column.
