Attending Arizona State is an easy choice for many college students. The weather, the hot girls and being able to road trip to Mexico, California or Las Vegas gives new meaning to the term "student life." What else could make going to ASU a great decision? How about a great bar located within stumbling distance of the campus. Even though Acme Roadhouse opened nearly six years ago, the spacious bar has become an ASU hotspot where students go to enjoy Tempe's wild nightlife.

The Scene: Being ASU's hottest campus hangout is only one reason why students gather at Acme Roadhouse. "We are a Los Angeles bar in Tempe. We are the 90210 of Tempe," says general manager Jeff Jennings. With cheap drinks, students are automatically drawn to the watering hole. However themed parties, DJs and hot girls are the reason students keep going back.

Inside the bar, the dance floor is packed with students bumping and grinding. With a steel cage located in the center of the dance floor, girls take their turn getting freaky with each other to impress guys, who watch their every seductive move. "The girls will do almost anything in that cage to get a guy to watch them. I have seen some pretty X-rated moves in there," says Graham, a 21-year-old history major. If dancing is not your thing or if you feel like taking a breather, try the outside patio, which has a bar of its own. On the packed patio, students flirt with prospective hook-ups. "Whether you are inside or outside the bar, Acme is the place to go if you want to have a night full of memories, or lack thereof," says Christine, a 22-year-old Spanish major.
The Chicks at Acme Roadhouse: The bar caters to all types of hot girls, from jocks to bookworms. "I come to Acme because the girls are sexy, they are easy to meet and the beers are always flowing," says history major Tim. "It's common knowledge that if you buy a girl a couple of drinks, you are pretty much guaranteed to get some action," comments Phil, who's studying Computer Information Systems.

When to Go: "The busy nights are Mondays, when we have an industry theme and a DJ, and Thursdays, when we feature a college themed party," explains Jennings. With no door cover except for themed parties, it's not unusual to see hundreds of students packed into the bar getting their grooves on.

Dress Code: You can certainly go casual and wear whatever is hanging in your closet. However, wowing the ladies is a priority for the guys, so gentlemen do dress to impress. With the Arizona weather, it's not hard to imagine why ladies usually show up in a cute low-cut top with a skirt and high-heels. "When the wind blows, the skirts go up and you can't go wrong," says ASU student Derrick.

At the Bar: Acme Roadhouse is known for its drink specials, so always ask before you drink. At the 3 p.m.-7 p.m. happy hour you'll find half-off appetizers/pizzas and $2 drafts.
