Standing 20 yards from the dorms at one of the nation's largest universities, The Corner is poised to become a year-round watering hole for outgoing Aggies. After opening its doors last April, University Drive's newest bar didn't waste time catering to student demands on the oldest campus in Texas. With daily drink specials and a gorgeous bar staff that would make the ladies of Coyote Ugly howl with jealousy, it behooves you to step inside.

The Scene: With no cover and cheap drinks, this is the perfect place to go wild without dropping a lot of cash. The walls are dotted with huge flat-screen TVs so you can catch every minute of the game. You can even pull your truck up to the back porch and throw back a pitcher or two. Despite its rookie status, The Corner is also the setting for celebrating Ring Day, an A&M tradition that dates back to 1889. On this important day, graduates remove their class rings and turn them around, symbolizing their readiness to face the world. Hundreds of Aggies further commemorate the occasion by dropping their rings into a full pitcher of beer, chugging the entire thing and grabbing the ring with their teeth.

Girls at the Bar: Texas women are some of the hottest in the nation, and The Corner corrals them every night. "The girls are so hot here, even I want to take a few home with me," says Lindsey Denmark, a junior sociology major. The female bartenders are also a sight. But don't think that these hot girls can't hold their liquor. Aggie coeds can drink all night long and party into the wee hours.

When to Go: Hard to say. Every evening is prime for drinking in a college town, and The Corner also hosts excellent pre-game parties, especially when the Aggies play their rivals, the University of Texas Longhorns.

Dress Code: Any outfit is welcome, but during the day students usually chill in jeans and T's. Everyone gets a little more spiffed up in the evening. Guys favor a collared dress shirt and jeans. Females tend to wear as little as possible. An incredibly tiny miniskirt and a tight top is a favorite ensemble.

At the Bar: Whatever your poison, The Corner has you covered. "The drinks and the girls at The Corner are as good as they get," says junior biology major Stephen Falcon. The bartenders take care of their customers, never pouring a stingy shot or a weak drink. Mexi-Mondays, featuring $4 shots of smooth Patrón tequila, will start the week off with a bang.

Hours: Sunday through Friday, 4 p.m. to 2 a.m.; Saturday during football season, 11 a.m. to 2 a.m.
