Celebrate Christmas Playboy-style! Both on and under the covers, Playboy always gets it right.

We have our own tried-and-true Christmas traditions here at Playboy. ’Tis the season to think of others, and we’re always endeavoring to do our part to help warm the cockles of our readers’ hearts. May we proffer this year’s stunning 60th anniversary issue of Playboy, featuring the ever-radiant Kate Moss, as an example of our goodwill.
They say you can’t judge a book by its cover, but we’ve always got it right both on and under the covers. The great December cover tradition started in our first-ever issue, published in December of 1953, which featured iconic screen goddess Marilyn Monroe. And it didn’t stop there. Other notable December covers have included such luminary beauties as Lindsay Lohan (2011), Kim Kardashian (2007), Denise Richards (2004), Dita Von Teese (2002), Carmen Electra (2000) and Farrah Fawcett (1978), to name but a few.
And so, this year, to bring you good cheer, we're bringing out a selection of our favorite December covers from the Playboy archives. Celebrate the 12 days of Christmas with these 12 knockout designs of Playboy past. Choose your favorite and, in the spirit of giving, remember to share the love.
Merry Christmas to all! And to all a great night.
