There is no shortage of storylines heading into the 2012 UEFA Euro Cup: after winning both the Euro in 2008 and the World Cup in 2010, can Spain sweep its third consecutive major tournament? Can England regroup and reclaim what some call their rightful throne after missing the cut in 2008? Who will come out of the top-heavy Group B and the soft-seeded Group A? Can Ireland, back in the Euro after a 24-year absence, upset Italy or Spain to make it into the elimination rounds?

These are the questions that have been racing through the minds of diehards, expats, players and casual fans alike; they’ve have all had their fill of the preamble and are ready for answers, for this long-awaited tournament to begin.
