We're very happy to bring you this week's Facetime with Cybergirl Cora Banks, a fun-loving redhead from Kentucky. Read on to find out more about Cora.
Playboy.com: How did you get started posing for Playboy.com?
Cora: I was contacted by a photographer who works with Playboy, Jose Luis. I’d started out on Model Mayhem and one of Jose’s associates saw my pictures and referred me to him. He flew me out to Dallas to do a test shoot and it ended up working out really well—and here I am!
Playboy.com: What unique things do you bring to Playboy.com?
Cora: I think I bring to the table that all-natural, girl-next-door type that I really feel that Playboy tries to bring out.
Playboy.com: Which physical feature do you most often get complimented on?
Cora: I always get complimented on my butt. Even though I’m a small girl, my butt’s pretty big. So I like that about myself… and it seems others like it, too!
Playboy.com: How small exactly are you?
Cora: I am five-two.
Playboy.com: Cute! Do you have a favorite behind-the-scenes story from a photo shoot?
Cora: Both times I’ve shot with Jose it’s been really fun and relaxing. We have a good time, we dance around, he makes me feel really comfortable--as does the whole team, they’re all really great. Honestly, my best memory from shooting is our lunch session—just sitting around, eating, goofing off and laughing. It was a blast, it really was.
Playboy.com: Other than modeling, what are you focusing on these days?
Cora: I am currently in school, majoring in communications, and I work part-time to pay for college. It’s a lot to handle, but I’m loving every minute of it.
Playboy.com: What’s your goal for after you graduate?
Cora: When I graduate from college I would love to move out to L.A. There are so many opportunities as far as modeling goes, and as far as anything in communications. I could do anything from there. So I would really love to make it out to L.A.
Playboy.com: On an average Saturday night, what are you doing?
Cora: It depends on the weather, because if it’s bad I really don’t like to go out, but if it’s nice I love to go out to a nice dinner, maybe hit up a club and dance a little bit. I love to dance. I enjoy going to see a local band—I have a few friends that play in a couple bands around town, so I like doing that. I live right in the middle of the city so there’s a lot going on. I love going to my school’s sports games—basketball, football, anything like that. But if it’s nasty outside I like to stay in and cozy up and watch movies or maybe play a few games—I love games.
Playboy.com: What’s your favorite game?
Cora: [Laughs] I like putting spins on games. Rummy’s really fun and you can put little sexy spins on it. So I like card games that I can make my own. I like to play fun Wii games naked, you know, just stuff like that. I’m very easygoing and I like to have a good time.
Playboy.com: What’s your idea of the perfect date?
Cora: My perfect date would have to be with somebody that makes me laugh, that’s really important. I like to have an easygoing, funny, laughing guy. As far as the date itself goes, I like romantic stuff. [laughs] I’m a real romantic. So a nice dinner—I love steak, so that wins my heart over! [laughs] I like to take a walk under the stars or a carriage ride with a horse and carriage or just hanging out with friends… I just like to have a good time.
Playboy.com: What’s the best date you’ve ever been on?
Cora: It was a really quiet restaurant. We started talking right away and hit it off and there was a band behind us playing some smooth jazz, and afterwards we walked along the river. It was getting towards nighttime so the stars were starting to come out. He ended up buying me a single rose and handed it to me and told me that I was more beautiful than any rose he’s ever seen. It was really romantic.
Playboy.com: And the worst?
Cora: The worst date I’ve ever been on was with a guy who came to pick me up, and when I got into the car he sped off! He started talking about himself and he was very self-centered and kind of dry and not very funny, just kind of awkward. You just have to be yourself and relax and not take it so seriously, and you definitely have to be safe!
Playboy.com: What’s one thing you think all men should know?
Cora: They have to be there for their woman, they have to support their woman for them to be confident and happy and to feel like the relationship is going to work out.
Playboy.com: If you could go on a date with one person, living or dead, who would it be?
Cora: This is definitely a hard question …I’m going to have to choose two. The one that is dead, would be Frank Sinatra because he was such a romantic and I would really like to see what a night out on the town with him would be like. For someone alive, I have to go for Justin Timberlake, because he really has it all. He can act, he can dance, he can sing. He just seems like a lot of fun, he has a lot of energy, and I think that would really work with me.
Playboy.com: What would your fans be surprised to know about you?
Cora: I’m a little bit shy when I meet new people. I come across as really outgoing, but I’m pretty shy. I open up quickly, but it’s always that first meet-and-greet that gives me butterflies.
Playboy.com: Do you have any messages for your fans?
Cora: I would really just like to say thank you to everybody involved. Thank you for all the support and love and I can’t wait to see where this journey takes me. I’m really excited.
