This week's Facetime brings us all the way to South Africa to talk with the beautiful blonde Nikki du Plessis. Nikki just may be the closest thing to a mermaid we've ever had on Playboy.com; read on to find out all about this sexy siren.
Playboy.com: How did you get started posing for Playboy.com?
Nikki: While visiting the U.S. last year, I was in L.A. for a few weeks and knew the Playboy offices were in Burbank. I made contact, went for a casting and the next thing I knew I had my very first Playboy shoot. It was an amazing experience posing for Playboy and to be given the opportunity. Things can only get better from here on!
Playboy.com: What unique things do you bring to Playboy.com?
Nikki: I’m from South Africa and privileged to be one of very few South African girls to be featured on Playboy.com. I’ve been told on several occasions that I have a unique Playboy look. I’m also an experienced underwater model that loves being nude!
Playboy.com: Which physical feature do you most often get complimented on?
Nikki: I’d say my eyes and, a very close second, my ass.
Playboy.com: Do you have a favorite behind-the-scenes story from a photo shoot?
Nikki: I was almost arrested for public indecency! I did a nude underwater shoot and the neighbor’s 10-year-old son was a little Peeping Tom, and he ran to his grandmother and told her, “There’s a naked lady in the ocean!” The next thing I knew, the cops were there in their numbers and I was given a friendly warning—but at the same time they all wanted to see the footage! [laughs]
Playboy.com: Aside from modeling, what are you focusing on these days?
Nikki: I’m starring in a film called The Sea Siren, which is a global multimedia event. The show will consist of 25 large print images and two videos: one behind-the-scenes video and another artistic video. The Sea Siren is a reality/art film where I was required to free dive naked to a shipwreck 35 feet below the ocean and was considered nerve-racking and dangerous because there were no safety divers or scuba air sources. It was extremely exciting—a show like this usually requires an entire team, but we pulled this off with only two people, me and Edmund Papp. The film is in its final stages now and I’ll be visiting Key West, Florida to wrap everything up. All the info is available on the website and the show will be on exhibition in Miami, New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, London, Paris and Rome, just to name a few, in the near future.
Playboy.com: On an average Saturday night, what are you doing?
Nikki: Partying with friends, but sometimes I stay in bed, watch movies and relax! My favorite day of the week!
Playboy.com: What’s your idea of the perfect date?
Nikki: A romantic nighttime picnic on the beach, looking at the stars with a glass of red wine and listening to the sound of the ocean.
Playboy.com: When do you feel sexiest?
Nikki: Doing a lingerie or nude shoot in front of the camera.
Playboy.com: What’s one thing you think all men should know?
Nikki: Do not look for trouble when your girl just woke up or is feeling tired after a long day!
Playboy.com: What qualities drive you wild in a man?
Nikki: A man that smells good, looks good and feels good.
Playboy.com: How do we win your heart?
Nikki: Buy me heels!
Playboy.com: What’s the best date you’ve ever been on? The worst?
Nikki: Best: going on a motorcycle ride to the countryside and spending the night with my man in a cozy little cottage with a fireplace.
Worst: a blind date that was organized by my BFF with a guy who couldn’t hold his drink and became a stalker!
Playboy.com: If you could go on a date with one person, dead or alive, who would it be?
Nikki: Nelson Mandela—he was the kindest, most inspirational person I ever knew.
Playboy.com: What would your fans be surprised to know about you?
Nikki: I tie cherry stems with my tongue and drink enough cocktails to make a necklace when I’m drunk!
