Polara We have a soft spot for sexy secret agents, especially those who have tight Tron-like armor. Polara, set in a dystopian future, follows the (very loose) storyline of a secret agent on the run from the government, which is killing off the poor. This game is pretty difficult to get the hang of; it’s an auto-running game where you’re tasked with jumping lasers and scaling buildings with the tap of your finger. The gameplay is forgiving; there are check points regularly and usually before something major happens. The levels also give gamers some bang for their buck, some taking up to an hour to complete. All in all, it’s a pretty interesting game to keep you on your toes; it never lets you fall into a pattern and needs a player who is ready to calculate all of the obstacles Polara is faced with. He-Man: The Most Powerful Game in the Universe One of the greatest things about growing up is that all of our beloved classics are getting a reboot. He-Man is the latest, getting his own iOS game. Follow the 27 levels which are spread across seven areas of He-Man’s homeland, Eternia, to battle his greatest adversaries like Beast Man and Skeletor. We love the swordplay, but we’ve got to ask, where’s She-Ra? Windows Phone 8 October came and went without the release of the much-anticipated game Modern Combat 4: Zero Hour to the online stores, but Gameloft had some news to share that made us grin from ear to ear: starting this holiday season, Gameloft will be releasing 12 of their biggest games on Windows Phone 8. “Optimized to take advantage of the Xbox ecosystem and services, Gameloft promises to bring a diversified games portfolio of immersive and social experiences for fans of every game genre. Users will have the possibility to connect with their friends and to follow their scores via Xbox Leaderboards and Xbox Achievements.” Need for Speed: Most Wanted Gamer Next Door Jo Garcia touched on it in her latest review; Need for Speed on your iOS is a must-have for any arcade racing game enthusiast. The graphics are killer, the pursuits are unreal and all of the work you do in the game on your phone or iPad can be transferred onto whatever other platform you’ve been using to play the game by utilizing the new CloudCompete social system. We love that you’re able to jump into any car you want right from the get-go and don’t have to save all of your points for a nicer car. If you see it, it’s yours. We like that mentality.
