Jo Garcia's Sports Week

By Jo Garcia

Jo celebrates the release of NCAA Football 12 and Sony predicts the outcome of the 2011 MLB All-Star Game.

This week kicks off the 2012 sports video games season with NCAA Football 12. Critics are loving the crap out of the game and new features like authentic gameday traditions and an enhanced tackling engine seem like the perfect ways to make the game more true to life and better to play. With a potential for a lost NFL season there may be plenty of Sundays that get filled with games of NCAA Football 12. NCAA Football 12 is out now for PS3 and XBOX 360.

Baseball season is hitting the halfway mark here and the 2011 All-Star Game is tonight. This season has already been pretty memorable with things like Jeter’s chase for 3,000 hits. Maybe you’re the curious type and are looking for an edge predicting whether the National League or the American League will take home bragging rights at this year’s MLB All-Star game. If so, the folks behind MLB 2011: The Show have gone ahead and simulated the All Star game. It’s crazy to think that this wasn’t the real game recap, it feels ridiculously real. I’m not sure I’d use it to place any bets, but check out the recap below.
