Rockstar Games' L.A. Noire takes gamers back in time to an extremely authentic version of 1947 Los Angeles. Gamers take control of an LAPD officer named Cole Phelps and must solve a series of mysteries. The aesthetic of the game is heavily influenced by film noir films of the 1940s and 1950s which both had a similar look and subject matter (crime, sex, ambiguous morals) to the game.
The game hits stores today.
