Beautiful coeds and the best college hotties have always been part of Playboy, and we’re looking back to the university gals of the 1950s and ’60s who found the time to take a break from their studies to make sexy history by posing in the pages of Playboy.
Miss October 1955, Jean Moorehead, is the girl to start with thanks to her college-themed shoot. Photographer Hal Adams constructed a fraternity room in his studio as a background to show Jean off. She’s very much the picture of the ’50s girl next door (or should we say “girl in the next dorm over”?) with her winsome innocence, but she’s every bit the pinup with her amply endowed figure and flirtatious energy. We’re 59 years too late to ask Jean out to the soda shop for a milkshake between classes, but thanks to her pictorial we still have a date to hang out with Miss Moorehead.
Thank the Beta Sigma Rho fraternity for bringing us Teri Hope. She went to a Playboy-themed party the frat threw and there they declared her the "Party Playmate" and submitted her photos to Playboy. Those pictures were effective, and she was invited to star in the September 1958 issue. She was studying Dramatics at school when she posed for Playboy, and Teri must have been a good study! She went on to an act professionally, with career highlights like appearing in two Elvis Presley movies, Fun in Acapulco and Roustabout.
Is “drop-dead gorgeous” an academic discipline? If so, it’s straight As for Dianne Chandler. Dianne was 19 years old and attending the University of Illinois when she posed for Playboy. She’s Miss September 1966. There’s a lot to take in with this breathtaking brunette, from her inviting eyes to her 37C bust; she’s a Playmate you’re going to be studying over and over again.
Class is in and the campus is swinging, so join the party in the above gallery.
