The year is almost over and it's time to look back...at the last 60 years of sexy New Year's Playmates from the centerfolds of Playboy!

In a scant few days it’ll be 2014 but before that happens, the best party holiday of the whole year will explode into our lives: New Year’s Eve. While it’s true that NYE is typically a wild night, it’s is also a traditional time for thinking about the past and reviewing the year that was.

As 2013 is Playboy’s 60th anniversary, we feel it’s appropriate to do some serious looking back and reflection on the ravishing New Year’s stunners of Playboy’s past. Join us as we turn back the clock to gaze at our selection of the gorgeous and timeless January girls in a spread we’re dubbing New Year’s Playmates.

1961 started right with Connie Cooper. The Italian So-Cal girl with a sophisticated taste in wine and opera is a work of art herself, complete with a body that could have been sculpted during the Renaissance. While shooting for Playboy, Connie studied to become a real estate broker. And although she had everything it took to be a professional glamour girl, Connie found her true calling elsewhere. Such a loss to all of us appreciators of the female form! But we can thank her for the memories via her Playboy pictorial.

Miss January 1963 packed a huge wallop of sex appeal into a small package. Judi Monterey stood at only 5' 1" and weighed in at 100 lbs. But with the face of an angel and the measurements of a celestial goddess (34B-22-33), Judi spent the early 1960s as a much in-demand model. Now, thanks to Playboy Retro you can spend your NYE with Judi.

{“pbembedwidget”:“gallery”,“id”:“15508”,“size”:“large”,“alignment”:“left”} 1965 was a year to remember…Why? The Beatles ruled the airwaves, the first man walked in space, the Civil Rights movement makes huge strides… and everything started with Sally Duberson as the centerfold for the first month of that exciting year. If we had a time machine we’d do three things: Go back and kill Hitler Save JFK from his assassinGo to 1965 and take Sally out for a steak dinner.

Join the greatest party of any year in the gallery above.
